Part 10: Laughter is the Best Medicine

Posted on

How do you feel when you had a really good laugh? You feel great, don’t you? It’s medically proven that laughing and smiling actually have amazing health-giving effects.

This is what happens as you laugh, you exercise your belly area and diaphragm. This abdominal movement deepens your breathing, which then increases the oxygen flow into your body and improves your circulation. It also expands blood vessels that encourages tissue healing. In addition to that, you can’t have a really good laugh and be anxious and stressed at the same time. When you see the funny side of life, you are more able to put things into perspective.

Start with a smile and smile can start to change your mood. Look for something that has always made you laugh. It could be a funny video, an activity or a company of your cheerful friend.
