There is so much to be grateful for in our daily lives, that we can easy overlook the positive things and instead look for what is wrong in our lives. The mind out of its habit is searching for what is wrong and how to correct what is wrong. When you find the life form in you, there is so much to be grateful for.
You may be aware of your luck and goodness in your life, however the doubt in you may ask a question: ‘Am I really that lucky?’, because you don’t want to tempt the Gods to send down some bad luck or you have this guilt because you believe that you are not worthy of good life so your mind keeps looking for what is wrong and how to fix it.
Life is precious and indeed can end at instance, often before one is ready for it to end. If you tell the truth this very moment, there is more to be grateful for than it is to fix. If you ignore this truth, you are denying the clarity of mind to see what is real. In gratitude the open-nes of mind is naturally present. In an instance ‘I am grateful to be here. I am grateful to feel alive, I am grateful to hear the sound of traffic or children playing.’
This gratitude is opened to investigation, true inquiry. If you however focus on how do I get richer? How do I get bigger things, How do I make it better? How do I keep it? Than there is no possibility of inquiry, then this precious privilege is wasted. Your ancestors would not have an access to this knowledge and inquiry, however you do, to really find out who you really are or what it is you really want, finally want.
